I'm sure on the PS3, you can even view your trophy collection offline. So, you could still earn the trophies on your PS3, but they won't update to your online PSN profile, or show on other devices, if they prevent you from syncing.

Didnt effect Wii because Nintendo has a no patch policy on disc retail games, and I wish they still did. Ideally they would do nothing at all and just let it be.
