We also work with profs to build custom versions of SABRE designed around specific courses and case studies. The SABRE business simulation is used by business schools and executives worldwide for one simple reason — it works.

SABRE transforms a classroom-based learning event into a dynamic, transformational experience. To be successful, knowledge must be applied — this means concepts and tools of strategy become embedded lifelong skills. The acquired competency for dissecting complex business problems into solvable components are readily transferred to real life issues.

Each student or team competes in their own SABRE Solo simulation against pre-determined, automated competitors set by the SABRE simulation, enabling an objective, fair comparison in performance between students as individuals.

Our suggested course format is below. I am convinced this is a fair test. Students are tasked with the management of a company, competing within the virtual SABRE market for market share and profit.

That said, I thought this year I would test if what they were saying was really true. I gave them as a final exam, one more SABRE decision, but this time made individually and not as part of a team. It was the same decision for each student, made in the practice simulation.

It's flexibility, ease of use and personal implementation makes it adaptable to almost any learning purpose. Overall, it is an outstanding business learning tool. Both Armarn and I had a great time helping, and we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from all the contestants.

We all have that one professor that we remember above all others, the one with the tough class that raised the bar but was unmissable, the one that taught us the lessons that have stayed with us to this day. See why simulations work.
