Samsung blackjack sgh-i607 update

When will you learn that handset manufacturers know what they are doing, let them do their jobs!! After you hack the heck out of it, it would be higher. I am all about business and I cannot edit documents or search the web easy So I got this phone last Friday and I'm pretty impressed with it.

I was nervous about moving to a smart phone coming from a SE w It may look small and impossible to use but I got used to it very fast. I can easily access myspace and all other important websites. Sony Ericsson provides a memory stick. I just get a error message. I'm not sure what everyone is doing with there blackjack's but I havnt had any issues with battery life.

I charge it every night and i have no problems. I'm on the internet quite allot as well as aol IM. Have had my Blackjack now for about one month and being that it is my first smartphone ever, I think it is fantastic. Pros: -Overall functionality as a phone and organizer -customizability -camera quality -screen resolution -call quality -battery life about 4 days on a single charge with standard battery -can be tweaked to perfection Cons: -Have to watch how many apps you open since they don't close automatically.

No big deal, just go into task manager and end them. At first, I gave this a 2. It works - it just feels like it lacks in virtually every area. The one possible exception being the camera though it's only a 1. I forgot my regular camera on a trip a couple months ago and used this instead - pictures weren't bad considering there's no flash and I was often in low-light areas.

A shortcut in the menu would have been nice. And you want to use an FM transmitter or Tape adapter to listen in the car? Forget it. Good luck guessing what numbers correspond to letters.

Likewise I worry about the camera lens. This phone is great it has everything one can ask for. It has: 1. Its a great phone, ive worked in the wireless bussiness for 5 years now and i havent seen a phone as complete as this one i would recomend it to anyone and everyone.

Oh and i forgot to mention it has music id meaning you can put your phone up to whatever song you hear even on the radio and it will tell you the name and artist who sings it, plus you can put full songs as ringtones. Im telling you the good things about this phone never end. I didn't really want this phone.

I wanted an , and I really needed a phone, but with all the other stuff I had to do, I just couldn't justify the cost of an , so I settled for a Blackjack. We were able to transfer and open such files successfully with the BlackJack. Other tools include: a calendar; contacts lists; task lists; other notes; a voice recorder; a calculator; a stopwatch; a world clock; and a unit converter.

In addition, push technology for real-time e-mail delivery is available through several services, including Microsoft Direct Push, Good Mobile Messaging, and Cingular XpressMail. In case you want to actually talk to someone, the BlackJack is also a quad-band world phone that can be used in more than countries.

It also includes a speakerphone, three-way calling, and conference calling. The address book is limited only by available memory the SIM card holds an additional contacts , and each entry can accommodate up to 12 numbers, several e-mail addresses, IM handles, job titles, and additional details. For caller ID, you can assign a contact a group ID, one of 20 ring tones, or a picture.

The phone also supports MP3 ring tones, and you can always download more through the Web. If you want to use a wireless headset, that's also possible; the BlackJack has integrated Bluetooth 2. There is no integrated Wi-Fi, which is disappointing as this would have been a nice addition for customers outside of Cingular's 3G network.

Conversations sounded loud and clear, and though the other end noticed a slight echo, audio quality was generally great. Activating the speakerphone didn't diminish the sound quality at all, and we had no problems pairing the device to the Logitech Mobile Traveller Bluetooth headset.

As noted earlier, we tested a preproduction unit of the Samsung BlackJack, which we're hoping is the reason for some of the sluggish performance we experienced stay tuned; we'll update results with the final product.

There was a noticeable lag when we tried to launch the camera or open various documents. On the bright side, the Web browsing and multimedia experience on the BlackJack was awesome.

Web sites loaded quickly as did streaming media. Music playback through the phone's speakers was good, although audio sounded blown out when we turned the volume to its highest setting. Video looked spectacular on the BlackJack's gorgeous screen, even though there was the expected pixilation. The Samsung BlackJack is rated for 5. In our tests, the phone just met the rated talk time.
